About

I’m Adam Hale, a collage artist and animator from Preston in the UK. Now based in Surrey, I live with my wife Helen, and two young sons Ellis and Remy.

Apart from my family, there’s nothing I love more than creating interesting and original things for people to look at. I feel lucky to be able to get creative on a daily basis.

I’ve made a lot of artwork over the years but it’s the tip of the iceberg - my head is brimming with ideas big and small and I will continue to bring these ideas to life!

  • In 2015 I was working in London as a Marketing Manager. I enjoyed the analytic and strategic side of marketing but my role had become less and less creative so I started making art in my free time. I was particularly interested in vector illustration but spent far too long perfecting my designs, and would often be underwhelmed with the results. I needed a medium that suited my experimental approach to art.

As I commuted to and from work, I began collecting free magazines distributed around London’s transport network. Each evening I would tear out images and splice together compositions in order to create new narratives. These daily collages, featuring current news stories and fashion trends, were shared on Instagram. The Daily Splice was born.

The more my work was shared, the more commissions I received from brands and magazines around the world, and the larger my audience grew.

  • I’m honoured to have worked with the following clients at some point over the past seven years:

Apple Music, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, The New York Times, Coach, Mulberry, Diesel, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Adidas, Ted Baker, NARS, Lulu Guinness, Viktor & Rolf, Youtube, Samsung, Virgin Atlantic, Genesis Motors, Secrid, Shutterstock, Natuzzi, University of Toronto, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, Harrods Magazine, Marie Claire, The Times, ELLE, Four Seasons Magazine, House & Garden, VICE.

If you’re interested in working with me or have any questions at all, please get in touch!

  • As the world around us changes faster than ever, I think it’s important to look back as well as forward. As far as my own practice is concerned, I will sample the past in order to create the future. I believe new technologies like AI will become powerful collaborative tools for artists and designers, and so I will continue to experiment as new tech opens doors.

I will document my process in order to inspire those who wish to create!
